"Go before you get really bad and then relief happens sooner." Tim.  Back Pain

*Constipation-definition

What exactly is constipation? Most people have periodic occurrences of getting “clogged” up with difficulty passing stool, straining, or hard/lumpy stool. They do not meet the ROME III criteria for chronic functional constipation unless they have more than 2 of the following more than 25% of the time for more than 3 months with an onset of more than 6 months prior to diagnosis:

  • Straining
  • lumpy or hard stools
  • sensation of incomplete evacuation
  • manual assistance needed for evacuation
  • rarely having loose stools

Temporary or chronic constipation can be caused by a variety of problems from pain medication, lack of fiber, inactivity, or pregnancy.
