Clemens Physical Therapy Coronavirus/ Covid-19 changes

  • At Clemens Physical Therapy the safety and assistance of our patients is our primary concern.  Due to the current coronavirus/ COVID -19 emergnecy we have changed the way patients can be seen to get the help they need at this time.

  • Both the Federal and the State government have deemed Physical Therapy an "essential business" during the coronavirus crisis as important to help keep non COVID-19 medical issues out of the physicians offices and hospitals so they can focus on COVID-19.

  • There are two ways people can be seen:

    • In Clinic as appropriate (no illness, fever, cough, no at risk individuals, one patient at a time)

  • We have always been a one-at-a-time patient provider so we never have multiple people in our waiting room and have always had individual treatment rooms with one person per room.

  • We ask that patients either come in to the clinic by yourself or with only one caregiver.  We are happy to help and can assist people as needed.

  • We are screening people before they are seen in the clinic for temperature and respiratory symptoms.

  • We have always had strong hand washing, disinfection, and cleaning procedures in place but have increased the performance of this.  We follow all CDC recommendations for infection prevention and control in healthcare settings.

  • Anyone who is experiencing any illness symptoms, especially if they have a fever, cough, or respiratory issues must be seen via a telehealth virtual visit and not in clinic.

  • Patients at higher risk for coronavirus infection may choose to be seen via telehealth:

    • aged 65 or older

    • with chronic lung disease or asthma

    • with chronic heart conditions or high blood pressure

    • who are immunocompromised such as with cancer treatment

    • who are severely obese or have diabetes, renal failure or liver disease

    • pregnant women
